SJR Neighbourhood Prayer Fall 2019/Winter 2020

We gather most weeks in different homes all over Richmond to pray for courage, conviction, and strength to tell others about the Gospel of God. This is a fun way to get to know people from each neighbourhood, and to remember that we desire to reach out to all of Richmond. So for example, one week we will meet in Steveston, the next in Burkeville, the next in City Centre, etc.

We need to be taught and reminded about the importance and practice of prayer, because we so easily fall back into self-sufficiency. Prayer isn't just asking for things; it is aiming for God. It isn't something we do to impress God or others; it is a conversation that builds relationship. Prayer isn't something we do on our own strength; the resources of the Kingdom are available to us to motivate and direct our prayer.

During the summer of 2018 we reviewed some of the greatest prayers of the Bible in our sermon series. Check out some of our sermons by clicking the link.
