Latest sermon:
Our Winter 2021 sermon series is a vibrant contrast to the COVID reality of isolation and separation. From Epiphany until Easter, each Sunday we will hear accounts of Jesus meeting people, from the gospel of Luke. Jesus meets a diverse collection of regular people with complex needs and ways of understanding the world, often those who are marginalized. These meetings are intimate and powerful, and do not always result in the kind of change we might hope for. But, we learn that today as then, it's not so much that you or I meet Jesus, but that he, by his initiative, chooses to meet us--and we are never the same.
