It is not what comes into a person that makes them unclean, but what comes out...Jesus says that human religion does not work. Bottom up religion attempts to make us acceptable to God, but Christianity is top down religion: a relationship with God made possible by the gift of his Son, crucified, resurrected, and ascended.
