When it looks like the Apostle Paul has come to a sad end in a Roman prison, he rejoices. Why? Because even in that state, the word of God about Jesus Christ is being advanced. God cannot be defeated, and his gospel will prevail either with the partnership of humans or, amazingly, as He leverages the opposition of those who would try to defeat God's purposes.
