Who is your audience? Whose opinion do you value the most in your life? Jesus says, do not fear those who can persecute you but have no authority or power over your eternal soul. Rather, value the opinion of God your Father. Fear is the basis of hypocriy, when we do violence to our faith to Jesus Christ because we subtly align ourselves to the expectations of others.
