Latest sermon:
The Ten Commandments do not stand alone: they are part of the covenant which God makes with his people. As we begin a new series, following the journey of the Israelites from Sinai to the Promised Land, we remember that God's people are, by definition, covenant people. The covenat confirmation ceremony in Exodus 24 has two components: The Book of the Covenant (God's laws and instruction) and the blood of the covenant (through which the people are cleansed from sin). That covenant wasn't perfect, however. It prepared the way for a better covenant, a new covenant with Christ.
