Paul doesn't pray for power. God has already blessed us with every blessing in the heavenly places. He has already dealt with the two powers that we cannot master: sin and death, and placed Jesus Christ in authority and triumph over them. So Paul doesn't pray for power. God's power has already been exercised. He prays that we would KNOW God's power in our lives. The problem is that we do not know it, and we get diverted into trusting counterfeit powers.
