The Apostles' Creed is 15 lines of theological density. Written about 1800 years ago, it is a summary of the gospel. It is a declaration. It is a foundation we stand on and stand for. It is trinitarian, affirming one God in three persons. It is an invitation: to put ourselves in God's story. But what does it mean to believe? Is it mere intellectual agreement? Well, if that is the case, then Satan himself is a believer. We are not saved by mere belief, but by throwing ourselves at the feet of Christ, knowing and following him as people who love him and love one another.
