Resurrection means something entirely new, not just the restoration of life as we know it in this world. Resurrection is the necessary step that abolishes death, and ushers those who trust in Christ into a new life in God's eternal Kingdom. Our bodies are clothed with something greater that is both spiritual and physical, fit for the new creation, when heaven invades earth. Therefore we cannot live as if our bodies do not matter, for they will be redeemed along with creation itself.
