Two invitations are given in Chapter 19: one to the people of God, and one to the birds of the air. The first is an invitation to the wedding banquet of the Lamb, a symbol of new life, joy and unity. The second is an invitation for birds to feast on the remains of the beast and his followers, a vivid illustration that evil will be overthrown.
