It's as if the Holy Spirit were addressing POW's captive in a secured compound. Which He is: but HIs adress isn't just encouragement or exhortation but rescue and reversal. In the gospel, God redeems us for the purpose of serving him without fear in holiness and righteousness a(that is, appropriately) before him all our days. This is not simply a statement celebrating the birth of a son but a summary of the entire redemptive landscape of the Bible.
