King Saul is the first human king of Israel,but is the people's king in the worst sense: he listens to their voice not YHWH's. He is disqualified from leading the people. He is an example of why we need an utterly obedient human leader, the man Jesus Christ. To follow this king means we too must be obedient to the Lord's words.
