Church life

Dear SJR,

Greetings friends, brothers and sisters in Christ, I am writing to you to share with you what God has been doing in my life and His work in our city.

Much has happened since the end of my internship at SJR. I had the privilege to serve at First Baptist in downtown Vancouver as an intern for the internationals ministry. In the last season of my life, by God's grace, I finished my education at Regent College and married Melissa on June 14, 2014. As of today, I have started serving at Pacific Grace Mandarin Church (Mennonite Brethren) in North Burnaby as the English congregational pastor. I am serving alongside a small group of 30 English speaking members to serve the city and to bring glory to God in our neighborhood. I will be preaching, teaching, and doing everything in between to support and nurture the people of God here at PGMC.

I want to take this opportunity thank you all for the years that SJR ministered, partnered, trained, and nurtured me alongside Artizo. I remember giving my first sermon at SJR and you encouraged me and supported me. Although God has placed a different path for my wife and I, we both love SJR dearly and we think fondly of you. I am so grateful for your care while I was with you and I know that I would not be serving at PGMC today without God's provision at SJR. Thank you.

I would deeply appreciate if you would remember Mel, myself and PGMC in prayer. I am entering a new ministry at its infancy. There is a lot to be done and I am not sure where to begin. Please pray for us as we discern God's calling for our church and that we may be faithful in preaching and living the Gospel.

Please also let me know if I can pray for you or serve SJR in any way. Finally, greetings from all of us at Pacific Grace Mandarin Church.

Your brother and partner in the Gospel,
Dan
